Ambassador of Europe and Mobility - Don Bosco High School 26/27

Apraksts

The volunteer will be able to bring a help to a local high school by promoting Europe and mobility. He/she will be able to meet the public of Mayenne and to testify of his/her experience, as a volunteer, to make students to discover his/her culture in schools. The tasks for the volunteer include various activities such as assisting librarians in the European Space of the Documentation and Information Center, coordinating projects related to Erasmus+, organizing Erasmus Days, ecological initiatives within the « Tomorrow the Earth » project, cultural exchanges with young people, activities related to student safety, and school and boarding school activities on Wednesday afternoons.

Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports

Volunteers will receive pocket and food money at the beginning of each month. Accommodation will be in a youth dormitory called Habitat Jeunes Laval. You will be hosted in a fully equipped apartment by sharing it with one another European volunteer. Each volunteer is having private room. Volunteers have the possibility to cook in the apartments or to eat in the canteen. Every evening Habitat Jeunes dormitory offers animations for the inhabitants (sport evenings, cultural evening, games etc.) Transportation from home country to Laval and return will be paid up, as a bus to Mayenne.

Mācības pasākuma laikā

National Agency in France proposes an arrival training and a mid-term training with other volunteers. At your arrival, you will get a training with the House of Europe to get all the necessary information to put in place animations about Europe and you will have a tutor to guide you through your project.

Dalībnieka profils

We are looking for a person who is motivated to work with young teenagers from rural areas and who wants to promote international mobility and European topics. He/she needs to be comfortable speaking in front of such audience, to be pedagogic and patient. The volunteer needs to have interest in youth work or education. To be creative and have imagination to create new projects with the school. Basic knowledge of French (is required) and an experience in animation would be great bonus.
