Youth Sparks is a volunteering project organized by Youth BCN and funded by the European Solidarity Corps of the European Union. The project includes a long-term volunteering stay in Barcelona from 10 to 12 months. Starting from September 2026 or January 2027. Youth Sparks in a nutshell: - Be part of a dynamic, multicultural team of 7 people. - Contribute to meaningful community-based initiatives. - Explore your entrepreneurial spirit - Gain real-world experience in project management, youth work, and EU funding - Live in one of the most vibrant cities in Europe.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
Youth BCN acts as the hosting and lead organisation of the Youth Sparks project. This means that we will administer the budget for this project and will give a flat-rate amount per month to the volunteer. This amount is to be discussed in the selection process. It will cover food, accommodation, and pocket money. Youth BCN will NOT provide accommodation for the volunteer; instead, it will actively support the volunteer in finding a suitable room nearby its office, in the Sant Martí district. Providing guidance and knowledge on how to do it as easily and safely as possible.

Wie zoeken we?
We are seeking volunteers eager to discover how a youth work organisation operates from the inside while learning about international mobility and EU-funded opportunities, such as youth exchanges and training courses. You will join an experienced team of trainers and youth workers, with staff members who have more than 12 years of experience in the field. You will gradually take part in designing, preparing, and facilitating local and international activities using non-formal education methods, both online and offline. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working with young people and are motivated to help us grow our local and international community. At Youth BCN, we believe entrepreneurship means “putting ideas into action,” so your ideas and initiatives will be welcomed, discussed, and supported. We have three places available for volunteers from Spain or abroad who are: -Eager to learn new things and develop new competences -Interested in youth work, social entrepreneurship, and non-formal education. Proactive and motivated to take initiative, propose new ideas and bring them into action. -Comfortable working in an international environment, mainly in English and Spanish. -Interested in developing skills in social media, communication and digital content creation. -Interested in learning how to design and facilitate non-formal education activities. -Enthusiastic about growing and fostering a vibrant international community of young people. Bonus: -Experience in social media, video editing, community organizing, or facilitation. -Spanish language knowledge.
