Since 1985, Diapason Cooperative has been dedicated to supporting children and teenagers. In this project, you will volunteer in two different structures: for 3 days a week, you will support center for people with disabilities in socialization and activities. For 2 days a week, you will support educational centers in Monza. These are the centers that offer educational programs for youngsters during the day. you will support the minors shelter in Monza. The shelter hosts around 10 young people aged 8 to 18. These minors have been temporarily or permanently removed from their families either by legal decree or due to challenging circumstances and are currently unaccompanied by an adult. In both structures you will support daily activities like workshops, sports, games, and socialization; help with logistics and preparation of activities. For you as a volunteer it’s a perfect environment to dive deep into Italian social services and see how everything works from inside.

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

As a volunteer, you will LIVE in the shelter in Monza city, fully immersing yourself in its environment.🏠 For legal responsibility, a strict door CUREFEW at 22:00 is enforced. You'll have your own private room and bathroom. The living room and kitchen will be shared with shelter residents. To ensure your comfort, the hosting organization provides three meals a day. Plus 60€/month for the food on the days off. You’ll also receive €6/day as pocket money (paid monthly). Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to European Commission.

Volunteers will participate in various trainings related to European Solidarity Corps.

We’re seeking a dedicated ESC volunteer available for the entire project duration (7th of September 2026 – 31st December 2026). ✅ Ready to be with people with disabilities or minors from diverse Italian and international backgrounds. ✅ Educational background in socio-pedagogy, psycho-pedagogy, social work, or related fields is a plus. ✅ Empathetic, open-minded, and passionate about activities with young people who have faced challenging pasts. ✅ Patient, kind, tolerant, and a great listener, with strong teamwork skills. ✅ Willing to live in a community setting, respecting curfew and shelter rules. ✅ Ready to learn, assist and help the team of educators. ✅ Good English required; basic Italian is a plus.
