NICOSIA, Kipra

Apraksts

Join the Home for Cooperation (H4C) team through the European Solidarity Corps and contribute to projects that promote solidarity, peacebuilding, dialogue, culture and social inclusion in Cyprus. As an ESC Volunteer, you will support the organization, implementation, and communication of cultural and artistic activities while gaining hands-on experience in project management, communications and event coordination. You will work in a dynamic intercultural environment, collaborate with local and international partners, develop valuable professional skills and connect with young people, educators and organizations from Cyprus and around the world. The Home for Cooperation (H4C) is a unique community centre located in the UN Buffer Zone in Nicosia, Cyprus. Since 2011, it has brought together people from different communities through arts, culture and peacebuilding initiatives with the aim to foster creativity and intercultural trust in Cyprus and internationally.

Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports

The volunteers will have the chance to live in a furnished rented flat shared with other volunteers, close to the office and not far from the centre of the town if they choose to. The flat contains all the necessary amenities and is divided in different rooms, kitchen and bathroom. The volunteers will have their own bedroom, a shared kitchen and bathroom. In addition, they will have the option of using a bike from the H4C free of charge for their convenience. Pocket money and food allowance will be provided per month per volunteer.

Mācības pasākuma laikā

The volunteers will be offered free of charge language support either online or on-site at the Home for Cooperation. The volunteers will be expected to dedicate around two hours a week to attend the language courses. All the staff of AHDR/H4C who coordinate projects, will be working closely with the volunteers, in order to provide on-the-job training, constant support and mentorship, ensuring the participant is making the most of their time.
