Kiribil european volunteer project 2026-2027
KIRIBIL SAREA
BILBAO, Spānija
Apraksts
The project will host four European Solidarity Corps volunteers in Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain) for 10 months. Volunteers will support children, adolescents, and young people through socio-educational activities based on non-formal education, helping to plan, implement, and evaluate workshops, educational leisure activities, and community initiatives that promote participation, inclusion, creativity, and personal development. Depending on their interests and the organisation’s needs, they may also collaborate in projects involving older adults and families, encouraging intergenerational learning and social inclusion. In addition, volunteers will help promote the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programmes by creating communication materials, sharing their experiences, and participating in information sessions. Throughout the project, they will develop personal, social, and professional competences while becoming active members of the local community.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
Volunteers will live in shared, fully furnished flats, each with a private bedroom and shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. The apartments include Wi-Fi, heating, and are well connected by public transport. Volunteers will receive a monthly transport pass, €180 per month for food, and €180 per month as pocket money, in line with the European Solidarity Corps programme.
Mācības pasākuma laikā
Volunteers will receive continuous support throughout the project. Upon arrival, they will be helped to settle into Bilbao and introduced to the organisation, local culture, and practical aspects of daily life. During the first month, they will attend the official ESC on-arrival training organised by the Spanish National Agency. They will also have access to the EU Online Language Support (OLS) platform and will practise Spanish through their daily activities and in person classes. There will be a week training in a Spanish city in the middle of the project.
Dalībnieka profils
We are looking for enthusiastic, open-minded, and motivated young people who are interested in youth work, non-formal education, socio-community activities, and promoting European opportunities.
Volunteers should enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young people, and be willing to collaborate in community projects involving older adults and families when needed. They should be proactive, responsible, organised, and eager to learn in an intercultural environment.
No specific qualifications are required but as volunteers will be interacting daily with children, adolescents, young people, and members of the local community, some level of Spanish is highly appreciated. However, the most important requirement is a genuine willingness to learn and improve their Spanish throughout the project, as this will help them communicate more effectively, build meaningful relationships, and fully participate in the activities and community life.
