Jesenice, Slovenia

Descrizione

Volunteers will receive training on nature conservation topics, including invasive alien species in Triglav National Park (TNP) and the use of the Invazivke online platform. They will participate in various conservation activities according to the needs of TNP, which may include field observations, biodiversity monitoring, habitat maintenance, invasive species management, trail maintenance, restoration activities, and other practical actions supporting nature protection. Activities will be carried out in cooperation with TNP, local authorities, and relevant institutions, following necessary guidelines and permits. Volunteers will also support awareness-raising activities, document field observations, and contribute to the preparation of educational materials promoting nature conservation.

Together, we will co-create the GOREM network: https://www.prostovoljstvo.info/

Volunteers will be accommodated in fully equipped apartments in Bohinj. Each apartment will host 2 or 3 volunteers. In total, 10 volunteers will participate in this activity. Volunteers will have access to a kitchen and will be able to prepare their own meals. Each apartment has its own kitchen. The ESC Programme reimburses volunteers’ travel expenses in accordance with the Programme rules. Volunteers will also receive a daily allowance (pocket money) and a food allowance, as provided by the ESC Programme rules.
