Duration: 7 - 8 months
Your tasks will primarily include:
- Supporting the SQVOT Programme: supporting the organisation and implementation of community activities for LGBTIQ+ (young) people who experience homelessness and LGBTIQ+ applicants for international protection in Slovenia;
- Supporting the Youth Programme: supporting the organisation and implementation of activities for LGBTIQ+ young people on topics such as queerness, active citizenship, activism, sustainability and creation of sustainable materials;
- Co-organising events and activities of the Association in the field, including the support of week-long international residential activities or public events around the country;
- Supporting the day-to-day office work.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
The project includes fully funded travel, insurance, accommodation, food expenses and pocket money.
Accommodation is organised in the flat shared among 5 young (LGBTIQ+) people, mostly ESC volunteers. Travel is covered fully: either you can purchase it yourself as agreed and get it reimbursed, or we buy it directly (in agreement with you of course). Food expenses and pocket money are in regulation with the ESC programme regulations and are paid every month in the begginning (by 5th).

Support during the activity
You will be supported by the working coordinator, and on monthly level have 2 mentors, one for personal support and the other one for learning. Upon your arrival, first few weeks your working coordinator will work closely with you to support you, afterwards you will agree on a regular meet ups (1/week).
You will have opportunities to join the workshops, capacity buildings and similar activities together with the rest of the team.
Dalībnieka profils
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a (LGBTIQ+) young person and/or a young person facing intersectional discrimination, aged 18–30
- Is a resident of an EU country
- Has a strong interest in LGBTIQ+ organisations, topics, and politics
- Has previous work or volunteer experience in organising LGBTIQ+ events
- Is responsible, proactive, and takes initiative
- Is comfortable working in an office environment with a regular office routine (7-8h/day)
- Is also available to occasionally work in the field, including evenings and weekends
- Is communicative, outgoing, and enthusiastic about working with LGBTIQ+ youth and peers
- Can communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
