Past in Presence is a 10-month project based in Cremona, starting in October. As a volunteer, you will assist in welcoming visitors, providing them with information, and helping organize educational and interactive workshops aimed at engaging different audiences. You will also support efforts to promote the museum's cultural heritage and work on improving accessibility. Additional tasks include managing content for the museum’s website and social media platforms. This project offers an opportunity to contribute to the museum’s mission of making culture more inclusive and accessible. The role is based at the Museo Civico Ala Ponzone, Museo Archeologico San Lorenzo, Museo di Storia Naturale, and Museo della Civiltà Contadina. Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
Volunteers will be provided with fully equipped shared apartment located in the city center, within close proximity to the volunteering site. A monthly food allowance will be provided, and each volunteer will receive a personal bicycle for getting around town. Travel expenses will be covered, with a preference for environmentally friendly travel options. To support their integration and activities, volunteers will have the guidance of a tutor and mentor, while a project coordinator will oversee the overall management of the project.
Formazione durante l'attività
Each project includes On Arrival Training (OAT) and Mid Term Evaluation (MTE) organized by the Italian National Agency. These sessions provide specific training on the project’s activities, alongside learning paths designed to help volunteers discover, understand, and recognize their personal skills, aptitudes, and competences. Volunteers will also have access to online language support to learn Italian through the EU Academy platform (https://academy.europa.eu/). At the end of the service, all volunteers will receive a Youthpass certificate, documenting their achievements.
Profilo del partecipante
We are looking for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, communicative, sociable, and patient. Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, eager to learn Italian, and comfortable working in a team. Flexibility and creativity are essential, as we value volunteers with unique hobbies, original ideas, and openness to different cultures. We welcome individuals with a strong drive to explore new experiences, curiosity about the world, and an interest in learning from diverse cultures.
