We are looking 2 volunteer for project activities in community Vukovar. The project aims to contribute to the empowerment and social inclusion of the local community by engaging volunteers in activities for children and young people in Vukovar. Through these actions, the project seeks to address unmet social needs and to foster the personal, educational, social, civic, and professional development of both volunteers and local participants. Within the project, volunteers will take part in the implementation of various activities, including: supporting STEM workshops and public events by preparing spaces and materials, engaging children and documenting activities; creating promotional materials, photographs, videos, social media posts and web articles; contributing to digital campaigns and Eurodesk information activities; and planning, promoting and delivering volunteering and social activities with young people in the local community.
Szállás, étkezés és utazás
Accommodation in a house in central Vukovar. Each volunteer has a private room and shares a kitchen, bathroom and living room. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided.
Food allowance: EUR 250 per month, with volunteers preparing their own meals
Pocket money: EUR 10 per day, approximately EUR 300 or EUR 310 per month depending on the number of days in the month
Travel costs in line with European Solidarity Corps rules. Ticket purchases must be agreed with the supporting and host organisations and approved before purchase.
Local transport to activity venues when needed

on arrival training, mid term training and other training as needed. Volunteers have access to a mentor who provides personal support and monitors their learning progress, staff members who support them in carrying out activities, and a project coordinator responsible for organisational and administrative matters. Additional support may be provided to volunteers with fewer opportunities according to their individual needs.
Résztvevői profil
We generally look for volunteers - An open, communicative, proactive and self-organised person who recognises tasks and opportunities, proposes ideas, plans their own activities and takes initiative without waiting for every individual task to be assigned. You should enjoy working with children and young people, communicating with others, taking part in events and discovering the city through direct contact with local residents, organisations and young people. Vukovar is a smaller city where everyday life and available activities differ from those in large European cities. This project is for someone who wants to embrace the local setting, build new connections and become part of the community in which they live. An interest in STEM, media, culture, social media, photography, video and youth work is an advantage, but motivation, responsibility and initiative matter more than previous experience. Preference may be given to young people with fewer opportunities. We are looking for a volunteer who wants to be an active contributor to the project, connect with young people and local residents, and become part of the community during their placement - open, communicative, proactive and self-organized person, interested in media, culture and social work for work with children and youth.
