Opis
Primary School in Złotoria is a small, welcoming school located just outside Białystok, serving around 80 students aged 3 to 14. Due to the small school size, teachers and staff maintain a close, supportive connection with every student and family.
Having international volunteers in a local school brings a fresh perspective to daily lessons. It gives pupils a natural, stress-free environment to practice foreign languages, learn about different cultures, and open up through shared games, after-school activities, and creative projects.
Main Tasks & Daily Activities
As a volunteer, you will assist teachers and school staff in daily care, non-formal learning, and creative support:
- Preschool & "Zerówka" support: Assisting teachers in daily activities with the youngest group (ages 3–6), helping with games, manual exercises, and group integration.
- After-school daycare (Prodlenka): Organizing creative workshops, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor playtime for children staying at school after classes.
- Support in the library & school events: Helping manage the school library, supporting charity initiatives, and assisting with seasonal school events and field trips.
- Intercultural activities: Sharing your language and culture through non-formal workshops, quizzes, and informal conversations.

Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
The coordinating organization rents rooms in the city of Bialystok. Here lives the volunteer together with other volunteers or with students (in dormitory), has own room and common bath and kitchen. The volunteer gets a monthly ticket for city travel. The coordinating organization pays also the travel expenses connected with the on-arrival training and the mid-term meeting on the base of original tickets. The volunteer gets from the coordinating organization money for food and pocket money.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
Volunteers will participate in training courses provided by the Polish National Agency (On-arrival and Mid-term meeting).
Profil sudionika
We are looking for volunteers ready to collaborate with children in age between 6-15 years old. Someone who is passionate about working with kids, helping them and developing their skills. School has very good conditions - spacious rooms, a beautiful gymnasium room with stands, a common room and modern playgrounds and sports fields, so it’s important to use it all!
