Kaunas Municipality Vincas Kudirka Public Library – Parkas branch is more than just a library – it’s a cozy meeting spot for curious minds and book lovers. 📚✨
It’s a place where stories live, ideas grow, and conversations happen. You can dive into a great book, discover new perspectives, and then actually talk about them with others who love reading just as much as you do. The library is free and open to everyone. It hosts inspiring talks, creative workshops, book-related events, and community activities where it’s easy to meet new people. You can also boost your digital skills and feel more confident using technology.
Main tasks:
Book preservation and storing;
Book restoration;
Activities with local youth in the library;
Assistance with the library events;
Assistance with English language course;
Assistance with handicraft course
Whether you’re a passionate book lover, or someone who likes to organize and bring people together — this place is for you!
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
The volunteer will receive free accommodation during their stay and a private room in a shared apartment. You will have a monthly ticket for public transportation and monthly food and pocket money (280 euros/month). * If needed, we can provide support and provide food products.
Formazione durante l'attività
Volunteering group meetings once a month; - Meeting with a mentor once a month; - On-arrival and mid-term training; - Online language learning; - Participating in public solidarity events; - Organization of info/promo solidarity events.
