Leírás

Join STARRY in Sumgait, Azerbaijan, and help create new learning opportunities for children and young people!

Hosted by Common Sense Youth Organisation (CSYO), this humanitarian volunteering activity supports communities in H.Z. Taghiyev Settlement and the Beton-Zavod area, where access to extracurricular learning can be limited.

Volunteers will facilitate English conversation clubs, educational games, creative workshops, storytelling and activities promoting teamwork, leadership and critical thinking. You will also help encourage girls’ participation in education and organise community activities involving women and families.

Working alongside local volunteers, teachers and community members, you will share your skills, learn from others and contribute to a more inclusive learning environment.

We welcome Turkish citizens ready to commit to at least eight months of meaningful volunteering. Starting dates are flexible.

Round-trip flight tickets will be purchased directly by EPEKA. Local transportation between the accommodation and activity locations will be provided by CSYO. Detailed financial and practical arrangements will be confirmed before departure.

Throughout the activity, volunteers will participate in team meetings, reflection sessions and ongoing learning opportunities, developing their communication, teamwork and facilitation skills.

For this particular volunteering activity, participants from other eligible countries cannot be accommodated for stays exceeding 90 days under the applicable arrangements.
