ARCI Servizio Civile del Friuli Venezia Giulia is currently looking for 2 volunteers for a long term volunteering project, lasting nine months from November 2018 till July 2019 in the city of Trieste. The main objectives of the project are: to increase the awareness about the importance of a sustainable lifestyle and about the advantages of the use of local and biological products; to promote participation in democratic life, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity expecially of young people; to increase the knowledge about Erasmus + opportunities for young people; to improve the level of key competences and skills of young people. Proposed activities: gardening; "Green aperitives", organizing the bio - products fair "Bioest"; participating in Erasmus+ info meetings; organize personal projects. The working hours will be flexible (morning/afternoon), two days per week will be off.
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
Accomodation: An apartment will be rent for the volunteers near the center of the city. It will be provided with all kind of services near it: walking-reachable supermarkets, gyms, pharmacies, banks, churches, clothing stores... The volunteers will have the possibility to cook in the house, use a washing machine and have a WIFI network. The volunteers will be provided each month of a food allowance to buy their own shopping, plus the pocket money. Transports related to project activities will be reimboursed by the organisation.
Formazione durante l'attività
The volunteers will receive an internal on arrival training at the beginning of their service, in order to get to know the organisation, the staff, the tasks and ARCI Servizio Civile partners. We will help the volunteers to set up their learning goals and make a plan about it. Regular evaluation will be done. For specific activities, we will provide additional training. Moreover the volunteers will attend the on arrival and mid-term trainings provided by the Italian National Agency
Profilo del partecipante
No specific previous experience in any field is required, what we are searching is enthusiasm, will to learn, positive thinking. We will appreciate young people who feel comfortable both working in a team and indipendently and that are ready to try many different kinds of tasks (writing blogs, creating posters and promotional material, gardening, emailing with partners, organising events, chatting with people, sharing culture and experience). Motivation will be the main requirement, basic knoweldge of Italian language will be an asset.
