Association Žmergo is looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative European youngsters, to experience 2 month group volunteering service. During the Croatian summer in the field of sustainable development with focus on culture and creative industry. Volunteers will participate in various activities related to e.g. Zero Waste Festival, the European Capital of Culture – Rijeka 2020, by developing series of activities based on the Zero Waste principle. They are also encouraged to organize activities themselves, like musical sessions and create large-scale installations made out of different type of waste. All above aimed at addressing environmental problems and awareness raising, in order to express those in the cultural - artistic field.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
*** Support in learning process / mentoring / intercultural exchange / travel / accommodation / food / pocket money / social networking *** EVS volunteers will be accommodated in shared gender based rooms (2 beds per room) in Student Dormitories 2,5 km from the city centre of Rijeka, European Capital of Culture in 2020. All meals will be provided by Žmergo. In addition, volunteers will receive daily allowance of 4€.
Wie zoeken we?
Highly motivated young people aged 18-30, creative individuals with sustainable views. People who possess a positive can do attitude, like teamwork and are creative in problem solving. Volunteers who are good with hands or willing to learn new crafty, DIY skills. Young artists and musicians, candidates who have interest in cultural management. Photographers, graphic designers, video wizards, computer specialist are also more than welcome.
