EVS in CALA - Alternative Education in SPAIN

Opis dejavnosti

CALA, association for education in alternative values, based in Albuquerque (Spain) has one open EVS vacancy for a Portuguese young person. The project lasts for 12 months, starting in October 2019. Applications are open until the 28 of April! Volunteers choose a line of workshop of Education for Development (ED), led by an educator from our association, who offers guidance, support, training and monitoring to the volunteer in that line of work. The choice of line of work will be subject to the interests, abilities and training of the volunteer. The activities may include: workshop on media and on mediating and managing conflicts, for young people and migrant population of Albuquerque; activities in the local radio; maintaining a personal blog about the volunteering experience; supporting the ecological centre Tierra ReVerde.

- Personal motivations. We value the volunteers’ involvement in a transforming educational project and interest in education in general, and in Education for Development in particular . - Spanish survival level. - Interest in working with people. - We also value creative and enterprising, self-motivated people. - Contact with associations in the country of origin. Taking active part in social movements towards a more democratic, non-violent, fair society. - Being able to adapt to the time needed to carry out the activities. • Being motivated about Spanish culture.
