My ability to your disability (only for Spanish and French volunteers)

Deskrizzjoni tal-attività

We are looking for 2 french and spanish volunteers that will work in the centre for adult disables run by Bucaneve for 10 months. It is a structure for people with medium and heavy handicaps, most of them stay only during the day and few users live there permanently. All activities aim to develop the users’ residual skills and to maintain the acquired levels as much as possible. In the Centre the disabled find a strong support integrating the different pedagogical and leisure time occasions given by their families. At present the Centro Diurno hosts users, dissimilar for age and pathology, and therefore with different needs. The volunteers will be involved in all activities of the Centre and support the staff during: Workshops: Psychomotor therapy, arts&crafts, music therapy, cookery. Excursions, special events and Summercamp: trips, Spring day, folk fairs, art competitions,.. (also proposed by the local community) Help educators when they share daily moments with users

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

The volunteers will stay in an apartment in the parallel street of the Center, so they can go to work by foot. The flat will be shared among two volunteers and it has two bedroom, one bath and an equipped kitchen/living room, wi-fi and bedding. For every displacement the volunteers can go to the train station or to bus stop.

Taħriġ matul l-attività

During this EVS project the volunteers will partecipate at two training manage by Italian National Agency: - On Arrival Training, some weeks after the start of the project - Mid Term Evaluation , in the middle of the project Every month Alce Nero will organize a monitoring meeting to supervise the volunteers and to resolve every insorgents conflict or trouble

Profil tal-parteċipant

Candidates should: -Be motivated and interested about the project issues -Have previously experienced in the field of disability -Be flexible and willing to adapt to possible hitches and to respect the community rules -Ready to live in a small village in the countryside.
