Tolbà - support for migrants

Deskrizzjoni tal-attività

The Association Tolbà wants to involve in its work, young European volunteers in the conviction to share with them a path of citizenship, for respect of diversity and for promotion of the themes of the solidarity and the knowledge of immigration and political asylum. Volunteers will be an important added value for all the activities of the association and this will be for the volunteers an important chance of training and growth. The actions and the finality of ESC are complementary to the mission of the association. This European experience represent a real opportunity to design and make informal networks with other bodies and associations, for a common work for the integration of foreign people. Tolbà has obtained accreditation to host volunteers EVS in past years which expired, at that stage has decided to not renew it because of an internal reorganization. https://mtv2019.wordpress.com/partner/tolba/

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Volunteers will leave in Matera city centre, in a shared flat (double rooms) not far from the working place. The apartment is self- managed and the volunteer needs to share a double room, kitchen, living room and bathroom with other ESC volunteers. There is no need for local transportation. Money for food will be provided by the host organization. As the rule of ESC program the volunteer receives 5€ per day for pocket money. Money is given in cash or, if the volunteer wishes, is sent via bank transfer.

Taħriġ matul l-attività

The volunteer will be able to learn about the Italian system of hosting of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Volunteers will participate to the training cycle oranized by the Italian National Agency, and occasionally takes part in training and learning moments with the coordinating organizations (Basilicata Link) or with the hosting organization.

Profil tal-parteċipant

Tolbà search for 2 volunteers who are interest in working with migrants and refugees, giving their personal support in the mission of helping others. The help is concretely needed in two sectors, so also two profiles: EDUCATIONAL SECTOR - support language classes for adults and youth (teach Italian, support in learning reading, writing, counting), support after school classes (help in doing home work, correct exercises and support understanding of school tasks); LEGAL SECTOR - support the advocate in the preparation of legal practices for refugees (make researches online, follow the process)
