Volunteering for Green Steps

Green Steps - Bildung im Einklang mit der Natur

St. Pölten, Austria

Pasākuma apraksts

Green Steps is a small international NGO which was originally founded by two Europeans in Shanghai. In St. Pölten, we have developed 25 different routes in city parks and suburban spaces, which we use as "mobile campus" to drive environmental empathy and systems understanding. Our Nature Guides lead these routes several times a year to learn about local plants, animals and ecosystem services and collaborate with local schools.  We divide our work time between the office and nature. Outdoor activities: - supporting nature guides, mapping old trees - possibly leading outdoor activities (once you have completed the nature guide training) - assisting in the design of new activities. Office activities: - designing flyers, social media management, translating English teaching material, designing and proofreading species & concept ID cards, designing offline games.

Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports

Volunteers will receive a public transport ticket which enables them to travel within the municipality. They will be reimbursed for all travels beyond the municipality borders connected to Green Steps projects.
