YOPI II

Opis dejavnosti

YOPI II aims to increase youth with lesser opportunities participation in volunteering projects, and to create a positive impact in their educational path, leading to a reintegration in social and professional life. In collaboration with the local and international volunteers, the participants, while contributing to a collective initiative, will discover and experiment a diversity of technics, and develop transversal skills. The volunteering experience is an educational tool that creates an original learning environment, where youth facing obstacles can find and develop new resources; find a new self-perception and retrieve a daily activity. The volunteers will participate in 1 SHORT TERM WORK CAMP, which they will be available to choose between the spring/summer/autumn season projects, that COCAT and organizations from Poland and Latvia will offer during the work camps campaign.

Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz

The accommodation and food will be the described in the work camp' Infosheet, witch the volunteer will have once he/she choose a specific project. Accommodation can be in tents, schools or gyms (depends on the project and the planning of the Hosting Organization).

Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo

Before the departure, the volunteer will receive all the information needed and a training form his/her tutor of the sending organization.

Profil udeleženca

The participants in this project will be identified as young people with fewer opportunities. Certainly this project aims to provide a very good opportunity for young people who wouldn't normally have the option to be away for voluntary commitment. The participant profile to participate in YOPI II has to face education, social, economic, cultural or health difficulties, or residence in a very isolated rural area.
