Intercultural exchange & language assistance in a training institution

Deskrizzjoni tal-attività

The volunteer will be asked to support the staff of the MFR, to promote intercultural and linguistic awareness among the young people, to support the organization of educational activities and to support the team leadership and the residential life. The activities will focus on : - Intercultural awareness: o Organize intercultural evenings o Workshops that prepare the the students to go abroad for an internship - Educational Activities: o Language support in collaboration with English and Spanish teachers o Accompanying students on excursions or professional events o Working in small groups of 3 or 4 people, conversation exercises with the youth. - Support for team leadership and residential life: o Helping students with their evening homework in study hall. o Organize occasional theme nights or lunch breaks for students during their free time The detailed activities will be defined by the volunteer and the MFR staff, according to the skills and interests of the volunteer.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

The candidate will be housed in Montbrison, at the FJT Montbrison (Foyer des jeunes travailleurs). The young workers' hostel is within walking distance of the main administrations of the city. The building is secure and there is a 24/7 presence on site. There are 44 units, 9 of which are specially designed to accommodate people with reduced mobility. Each unit is furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove, hood and microwave) and a private bathroom. Common areas including a digital space, a television room, social rooms and terraces.

- Adaptability, organizational skills and anticipation - Communicative and easy to talk to young people - Basic knowledge of French - Good command of Spanish - Motivation for the themes of youth activities and the French pedagogical and educational system
