A tevékenység ismertetése

The objectives of the Volunteering project at the City of Vienne (municipality) are to raise the awareness of young people of the international openness as a personal richness (intercultural exchange, openness to others, reciprocity, the topics of identity and citizenship and the acquisition of personal competences, etc.) and to promote, with the help of an international engagement, the dynamics of citizenship and active engagement. The mission of the volunteer is divided between International Relations Department and the local Youth office sharing a common focus: international mobility. The volunteer will meet and work with young people (14-30 year old). Examples of tasks: promote the value of experiences thanks to international mobility, encourage people to take part in mobility programs, share information about mobility programs, contribute to the building of an active European citizenship, and increase the value of its own experience.

Szállás, étkezés és utazás

The volunteer will live in an apartment (furnished and equipped) in a youth residence open for young people (18-30 year old). The charges are fully covered by the municipality. Possibility of eating at the municipal canteen weekdays for lunch. The volunteer will only have to self-arrange for the food for breakfast and dinner (weekends included). Travel expenses from/to the country (arrival-departure) are fully covered by the municipality. The fees for the arrival (ex. plane ticket) are covered by the volunteer and reimbursed on arrival. Local transport costs covered by the municipality.

Képzés a tevékenység során

Two national seminars: on arrival training and mid-term evaluation. To meet other volunteers welcomed in France, learn more about French culture, share experiences, exchange impressions, etc. Online Linguistic Support via the platform open for volunteers (French language). French Language courses at the “Alliance Française” in Lyon (one month length intensive language course /60 hours). The costs of this course are fully covered by the municipality altogether with the travel costs (by train) to Lyon (30km from Vienne).

Résztvevői profil

The selection criterias are based on different aspects: the capacity to adapt to a new environment, the solidness of professional skills, the capacity to interact with the target groups, the motivation, the openness of the volunteer, the ways of taking initiative, digital skills, awareness of the culture of the home country and an interest shown to Europe, team work and the ability to work autonomously, basic knowledge of French (to facilitate the integration process). The link between the volunteers’ profile, personal motivation and the mission: international youth mobility.
