Beskrivning av verksamheten

The association “Les Galopins sans Souci” aims to work towards the fulfilment of every being: human, animal or plant. The association was founded in 2017, initially under the name "Les Galopins du Sancy". Guardian of 9 ponies, 2 pigs and 2 goats, the association is housed at the Domaine équestre de Berthaire, and works in close collaboration with the on-site equestrian centre. To continue developing its activities, the association is in the process of renovating the old garage on the equestrian estate to convert it into an activity and meeting room. This warm and inviting space will enable the association to carry out its homework projects in particular. During their stay, they will also be able to help with the upkeep and daily care of the thirty or so horses and ponies living on site. At the start of their stay, volunteers will also be offered a day's training in caring communication.

Logi, mat och transporter

Volunteers will be welcomed during their stay at the gite on the equestrian estate, which includes sleeping accommodation, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and heated living area. All accessible to people with reduced mobility. Volunteers will be fed on site.

Utbildning under verksamheten

To restaure the meeting room you will be insulating the walls, erecting partitions, internal cladding, fitting windows, painting and furnishing the interior (kitchen, rest area, etc.). The campleaders will also give a training about the rules of living in a group. Workshop will be organised on the topics of sustainability, active citizenship and around the european solidarity values.

Deltagarens profil

We make a point of promoting social inclusion and access to mobility for all. In this sense, we would like to enable people of all social, economic and cultural classes from 18 to 30 years old. The volunteers should have an interest building renovation and animal care. An interest for the preservation of the environment is also needed as all the activities will be thought in the most respectful ways for the environment
