HeSoESC - TENDA project - Supporting intercultural activities

Deskrizzjoni tal-attività

Participants will support local volunteers and staffs of the NGO "Progetto Tenda". The activities will be implemented in two small groups, and these may include: cultural workshops to support the guests of the NGO and its daily social assistance activities; manteinence of the spaces where the organisation operates; support to the Sunday canteen service aimed at homeless people and families with social and economical difficulties; decoration of interns and public spaces, used for activities for local children. ESC volunteers will implement these activities together with local volunteers and staff members, and in collaboration with the people assisted by "Progetto Tenda". Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Accommodation will be in an apartment located in the city center, near to the headquarter of the NGO, in three-bed or four-bed rooms with private bathroom. IMPORTANT: There could be the possibility of dividig a queen size bed. Volunteers will have the possibility of preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner, using the kitchen inside the apartment. The Organization will provide food and everything necessary.

Profil tal-parteċipant

Volunteers should be: - aged 21-30 - interested in supporting organisations working with and for vulnerable people; - interested in the topic of the project (social inclusion, integration, community life, inequality) - ready to interact with people with different kinds of vulnerability and different social and economic backgrounds; - willing to actively participate and be flexible in different types of activities; - open-minded, sociable, empathetic; - interest and experience in music and art are not mandatory but welcome. Only pre-selected candidates will be contacted.
