Opis
The volunteers will be part of the team of volunteers at the Salesian Youth Center Rakovnik. Priorities that volunteers will carry out activities within the youth center itself- assistance and socializing on the playground and in club rooms, work with children and youth, preparation and implementation of activities with children and youth - playing board games, sports activities. Also, during the winter holidays when organizing various activities for the visitor center- both the daily program during the school year and the initial program during the summer holidays. In addition to working with children and young people who visit the center, the volunteers come together and work with a home team of volunteers who come to the center. It is expected that the volunteers will carry out a project (workshops, event, etc.) during the exchange, as they will also gain new knowledge and competences.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
In the same building as youth center is student dormitory, where volunteer has his/her own room with shared facilities. The volunteer can order food in the dormitory (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or get money and can prepare meals in the kitchen of the youth center. In the immediate vicinity of the center there are also several grocery stores and shopping malls where they can buy everything they need. The project provides funding for transportation from the home country to the youth center. The volunteer also gets money each month for a monthly bus ticket.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
National agency organize on-arrival training and mid-term training. A volunteer can also attend the trainings we have for our volunteers and animators.
Profil udeleženca
We are looking for young volunteers who should be of legal age - between 18 and 30 years old and should have the joy of working with children and young people, as our center works with this group of participants and visitors to the center. We expect volunteers to be communicative, responsible, self-initiative, and like to work in a team. It is desirable that they already have experience with volunteering. Interested volunteers should submit a CV in English.
