KEY8 training
Krisztina, УнгарияBetween 16-23 May, the Key8 training was organized by the Youth for Participation Association in Pécsvárad, Hungary.
The first day of the meeting was interesting, because although everyone was very tired after the long flight, we still introduced ourselves to each other with a smile and kindness. Each participating country had the opportunity to get to know each other. The program of the week was not about the eight key competences, we had opportunities getting to know each other and different cultures.
During the workshops and discussions, we laughed and joked a lot. Beside enjoying the training, we heard a lot about the key competences and tried to think about how we would use this knowledge in our everyday work at home. I especially enjoyed the intercultural evenings, because each of the participants prepared with different surpsises. Some of them presented a Kahoot quiz or a video about their countries, the others brought special drinks and food, and we had traditional dance lessons, as well. Although not everyone speaks English on the same level, there was not any complication to understand each other.
Professional and leisure program elements were in a perfect balance. Both parts had a team-building character, and by the end of the training we formed a very good team. Of course, the climbing of Zengő-peak, the wine tasting or the participation in the PIFŐ ball also brought us even closer together. I was satisfied with this program, because I received much more than practising English: connections, experiences, friendships, knowledge of new cultures, openness. I spent one of the most memorable weeks of my life in Pécsvárad, for which I will be forever grateful.
Are you wondering what the mood was like and how the other participants experienced this program?
