Opis organizacije

Efem Mediterranean Youth and Sports Club Association has 105 members, teaches Turkish folklore and folk music to its members and participating youth. It is a non-governmental organization that aims to teach how to improve their physical, mental and cultural activities.
It has national and international successes in folk dances and folk music competitions. Our national and cultural values encourage our members to be active social representatives, as well as protect their human rights as we thrive to emphasize its importance. Our philosophy, besides valuing respect, tolerance and democracy, makes our members and young people more self-confident. We encourage them to be creative and productive. In addition, to reintegrate physically and mentally disabled people into society, we are interested in conducting projects and workshops and taking care of people with various disadvantages. In this context, we cooperate with national and international organizations and carry out various European Union Projects, including the EU Youth Program.
Our association has been accredited as the coordinator, host and sending organization with the reference number 2 013-TR-50.
Currently, the host, coordinator and sending organization with the Accreditation reference number 2015-1-TR01-KA110-025051 serves as European Volunteer Projects as sending-receiving-coordinating organization since 2013. Our association is the Turkish representative of the European Youth Water Parliament and a member of the Provincial Dependency Board at Local. Every year, we send the youth of our association to the meeting about water in different countries of Europe. It is among the objectives of our association that young people not only understand nature and environmental awareness, but also equally reach opportunities on European scale. Young people from different countries of Europe will come together, discuss the water policies in their countries, and take decisions on measures to use water more efficiently. As Eurodesk Turkey representative, we support young people by promoting Erasmus projects and European Opportunities.
