Organizācijas apraksts:

The public institution "Cave Park Grabovača" was founded in 2005. In accordance with the Nature Protection Law (NN 127/19), the Institution manages an area of 5620ha protected in the category of protected landscape "Risovac-Grabovača" and all of NATURA 2000 areas within the boundaries of the Municipality of Perušić. PI has developed an infrastructure for visitors (educational trails, viewpoints, forest organ, herbal garden with hobbit house, barbecue places, gazebos, playgrounds, etc.);guided cave tours , scientific and professional researches; developed educational programs (workshops for kindergartens, schools, universitas, summer schools, events, etc.). All these activities ensured a relatively good management of protected landscape. Main goals of the Public institution are:
- contribute to conservation of geodiversity and biodiversity of the area through further research and nature conservation measures
- continue to educate local“s and population of wider area about nature conservation
- promote the protected landscape and the surrounding area as a tourist destination for non-invasive types of tourism (for example: spelotourism)
- continue to work with volunteers, scouts and educational institutions.
