IMAJ' grew from the desire of the municipality of Auch to create a structure in the heart of the city to promote meeting and expression of young people, while also promoting their initiatives. It benefits a multi-year agreement with Grand Auch Community Council to develop actions aimed at and for young people.
To do so, the association offers services to the population (www.imaj32.fr):

• Youth Office (IJ)
A friendly, anonymous and free place, where a multitude of different information is stored and distributed, for everyone… The team also offer support in setting up individual or collective projects (methodology, funding, partners. ..). It is a place where the visitors can have access to modern digital technology, and offers to make new technologies (tools and uses) accessible to as many people as possible. The animators supervise workshops and multimedia projects ...

• A Point Accueil Ecoute Jeunes (PAEJ)
A place which offers reception, listening, support, guidance, awareness, and mediation service for young people aged 12 to 25 who are experiencing any kind of difficult situation. In collaboration with the IJ (prevention in general population, etc.), the PAEJ's educators also participate in the prevention of disruptive situations that may affect some young people.

• A Europe Direct Center (ED)
A local resource center for information on Europe. We are regularly called upon to supervise or monitor initiatives with a European dimension. This is notably the case via the European Erasmus + Program (IMAJ have always been a sending structure" of European Voluntary Service and now the European Solidarity Corps).

• The a concert hall (CRI'ART) ,
More that just Concert programmation, Cri’Art offers rehearsal spaces, workshops (Sound, Light, M.A.O), recordings, and a Music Info Point as well as artistic accompaniment.

The target audience for the association is primarily from the Grand Auch Cœur de Gascogne area (34 communes), aged from 11 to 30 years. At the same time, it develops resources and practices exchange activities aimed at youth professionals. Whenever possible and appropriate, we take into account the demands of the most “fragile” audiences. In our case, we work with medico-educational institutes, the PJJ, young migrants, the mission to fight against dropping out of school ... In addition, through our multi-partnership, some of our missions extend to the whole GERS department. IMAJ’ responds to orders from the Departmental Council and the Occitanie Regional Council.
Our actions often mix a young and an adult public. This may have an educational interest. Working with prescribers of the youth is a necessary step to multiply the effects of initiatives (parents for digital awareness, youth service leaders, teachers, etc.). Finally, to the extent of our skills and our themes, we are likely to work with all people for the benefit of youth and our territory.
