Popis organizace:

The Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta was founded on February 10, 1989.
The organization’s mission is to provide assistance to those in need; the sick, the elderly, the disabled, the disadvantaged, the homeless, segregated communities, refugees, pilgrims, and victims of disasters and wars.

We work with our volunteers in a spirit of acceptance and presence to create a society that better addresses the challenges affecting us all. We design our projects to be present in the lives of our vulnerable fellow human beings, to help them by accepting them. Our diverse activities adapt to the needs of those in need.
We organize occasional projects like holidays for young people with mobility disability and long-term programs e.g. "symphony program" - music-based social and community development for gipsy youth.
In order to put equal opportunities and non-discrimination into practice, our "inclusive village" program, designed to catch up with segregated people, is present in several regions of the country. It consists of flexible and varied support activities developed by professionals working in Maltese offices in the area, in which our volunteers also take part.

In addition, we maintain a nationwide network of institutions for the homeless, the elderly, the disabled and vulnerable families. Volunteers regularly help in the development sessions organized for the residents of our institutions and in the useful spending of their free time.
