A szervezet leírása

Short history of the organization: NGO Öökull is established in 1998. 1999-2010 Children and Youth Centre “Öökull” rooms were opened for youngsters and so it became a first youth centre in Tartu. In the early years we had focused especially to street youth work and social work.
Since 2000 the organization had organized several international projects in the program "Youth in Action" and created a working network with youth organizations in European countries. Now this section is named Öökull´s Mobile Youth.
2001-2004 Creative Centre “LoovKesKus” in city Tartu.
2008 - Annelinna Children Centre in city Tartu. Main activities: study help, courses, free time activities, family events, club activities.
2011 - Training and Counseling Center “TEAN” with accredited curriculars for : Motivational Interviewing; Time- and stress management; Mentoring and Mentoring programs; Art Theraphy.
2012 – Youth Center in Kambja Parish. Main activities: free time activities, courses, youth initiative projects, camps.
Objectives of NGO Öökull in general are to prevent crimes by work among disadvantaged youngsters and providing equal opportunities for them by offering different useful and interesting activities and educational courses to fill in free time and teach social skills to youngsters, keep them in the school or help them enter labor market.
Majority of clients in NGO Öökull is considered to be a risk group youngsters, with a problematic social and economical background.
Our team is based on multidisciplinary teamwork – youth-workers, social-workers, police officers, psychologists, therapists, other specialists and volunteers. Administrative structure: 5 members on the board, ca 10 workers, 17 members of organization, ca 10 local volunteers.
NGO Öökull is the member of • European Federation of Mentoring for Girls and Women, Estonian Open Youth Centers, International Network of NEET-volunteers “EVS as a TOOL”.

Ez a szervezet tudja fogadni olyan önkéntesek jelentkezését, akik élethelyzetükből adódóan nehezebben tudnak részt venni a projekttevékenységekben. Az alábbiakban áttekinthető, hogy a különböző projekttípusoknál mely kategóriákba tartozó önkéntesek részvételét teszi lehetővé a szervezet:
