The “Kinder- und Jugendzentrum Klex” is an institution of the open child- and youthwork in the city of Jena in the district Lobeda. We are working together with children and teenagers from the age of the first the of school day until 15 years and their families. Our main aim is to offer our target group different and open “experiencerooms” with many freetime- and sociallearningpossibilities. Especially for social disadvantaged persons we try together to find ways to handle their daily life and offer non profit activities for all. Our main workingfields are:
- open child- and youthwork
- cooperation with local schools
- support for adults and families
- activities during the school holidays
- intercultural projects
- different cooperation and projects with local social institutions
We work in a multi-professional team to share different experience and personal skills. Our main expectation to the volunteers is that they are open minded and motivated to work with children and teenagers.
