Zavod Didona is a non-profit organization with an aim of improving the quality of life for various groups of people, our main portion of work being with young persons with fewer opportunities of different backgrounds.
Our main focus has been to enable young people to make an improvement in their life through participating in various international programs which promote inclusion and active participation in the society and which enable the youths to develop their professional and personal skills and competences.
We have been organizing mobility activities for unemployed persons in the past years, outgoing and incoming, through LLP program, with an aim to enable the youths to get necessary working experience to improve their employability, as unemployment remains the biggest issue among young people of today. Mobility experiences have also contributed to personal competences of the participants, in the sense of open-mindedness, overcoming cultural differences, overcoming personal draw-backs, practising an independent life-style and responsibility and also developing an enterpreneurial mindset, which are obviously very valuable improvements in their lives and lead to youth empowerment.
We will continue to empower young people through our future work and we intend to work on various types of projects in order to reach these goals. Our biggest concern is to empower the youths left behind and to equip them with necessary skills to be able to partake actively in their local environments and the society at large.
Thus we are interested in any cooperation which involves youth inclusion and participation and youth empowerment.
Our other fields of interest are projects which aim to improve the quality of life of specific groups or the general public, and also those which aim to improve the quality of our social and physical environment on a local level, reaching out to national and pan-national levels.
