A szervezet leírása

Stowarzyszenie Aktywności Obywatelskiej Bona Fides was founded in 2003 in Katowice, Poland, as an independent, non-profit and politically uninvolved non-governmental Association, to release aid, educational and cultural ventures to support kids and youngsters’s development in the city.
We focus our actions in 4 areas:
- We work to promote education in human rights focusing on civil rights, increasing public information access, public spending control and counteracting for corruption in public Institutions. We fight for the presence of reliable authorities acting transparently and building social dialogue to consider local people’s voice in decision making processes.
- We work to fully include people with disabilities in social and public life, monitoring the accessibility of public administration units in Silesia and asking for changes to guarantee full access to people with motor and sensory disabilities. We boast a long cooperation with local Institutes working with kids and youngsters with mental and physical disabilities and facing social, economic and geographic obstacles and supports the integration of migrants and minorities.
- We run activities to increase the interest of residents in participating in public life and a sense of shared responsibility for the community's fate.
- Bona Fides is involved in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programs to promote solidarity, active European citizenship, enable participants to do social work abroad and acquire skills.
