KAEBNAI is a non-profit association established in Donostia-San Sebastián since June 2005 and made up of a multidisciplinary team of educators, pedagogues, psychopedagogues and psychologists with training in social issues and with experience in Intercultural Education and international mobility. Is an entity declared of public utility that works in a local and international network, within the field of formal and non-formal education with the aim of contributing from INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION to the creation of an active, critical and participatory citizenship, capable of contributing in the process of social transformation necessary to achieve INCLUSION and dignity for all people.

The objectives of the organization are:
-Awareness in the C.A.P.V. to promote channels of intercultural communication.
-Promote, support and coordinate intercultural initiatives, international mobility projects, volunteering and their training.
-Training and initial and continuous training of professionals in formal and non-formal education for an adequate intervention and intercultural approach.
-Promote educational normalization.
-To promote education for life, I work with the A.M.P.A.S. and adult training.
-Encourage educational research.
-Creation of teaching materials and programs.
-Develop and offer information, training, orientation and advice services to educational centers, social entities, institutions and organizations that work on intercultural education.
-Facilitate mediation and school accompaniment.

KAEBNAI, through its programs, offers itself as an active resource that makes Europe and its opportunities available to young people in the Basque Country in general and to those in Gipuzkoa in particular. Focused above all on the field of NON-FORMAL LEARNING and VOLUNTEERING, of the EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS program and “Erasmus +: Youth in Action” of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission. As an entity, it aims to be close to young people. A tool that will allow through a unique and innovative practice; in the first place, the involvement of young people in socio-educational projects in Gipuzkoa, to later offer the possibility of volunteering in other countries.

In addition, our intervention project is based on a methodology of "active proximity", we receive and guide the young people who come to our center. We hold courses and seminars to work on the European dimension and bring young people closer to the possibilities that Europe offers. We hold meetings and exchanges with other European entities, to facilitate relationships and learning between young people from different countries; and above all we promote the exchange of their experiences as volunteers. And we also went out to the streets, to universities, to youth organizations, "gaztelekus", to institutes, to show young people with dynamic methodologies what Europe has to offer them.

KAEBNAI was the first accredited entity in 2007 within the “Youth in Action” program for the management of the European Voluntary Service in Gipuzkoa. Today, it offers young people the opportunity to learn by helping or helping by learning through volunteering activities developed in socio-educational projects, within an organization from another country. We have sent an average of between 10 and 15 young people per year to different destinations in European and neighboring countries. When it comes to hosting host projects; In all these years we have carried out a total of 11 reception projects for young people from different countries in Europe and neighboring countries.

On the other hand, KAEBNAI was also chosen as the European Local Information Point of the Eurodesk Network. Only association together with another in Bizkaia, recently; in the three territories of the Basque Country. Which places us in Gipuzkoa as a benchmark for the execution of socio-educational projects within the international framework of the General Directorate of Education and Culture of the European Commission.
