Beschrijving van de organisatie

Talsi Region Community Foundation`s missin is to develop the traditions of charity activities as well as to promote the development of Talsi and the region while supporting public benefit projects and positive social change of the society. The foundation is the first Community Foundation in Latvia, founded on 24 Febrauary 2003. Community Foundation is an independent organization that serves for a braod public benefit purposes, collecting donations form local contributors to fund the local citizens` projects. The main idea is that funds are donated by our own poeaple to reach the objectives that are important to the local community.

The main reasons why Talsi Region Community Foundation is special is because it attracts funds from local sources – from local citizens and enterprises, as well as it organizes project contests with aim to serve to a broad public benefit purposes.
The Foundation projects are operating in fixed territory – in districts of Talsi, Dundaga, Roja and Mersrags.
Talsi Region Community Foundation is working not only for today's needs but also for our society future. The Foundation is gradually forming the inviolable capital, and from the incomes (which are made from the percent of inviolable capital) Foundation is planning to finance some more finance public benefit projects in the future.
