Foundation 42 is legally established in 2013. The driving force behind establishing Foundation 42 was to institutionalize and support the organization of a series of motivation events, targeting young people and their active citizen involvement. It was created by youth workers with wide expertise and desire to work for the development of the youth sector and promotion of non-formal education in Bulgaria. As a non-formal group, our team worked together from 2007 as an ideas incubator, shared space for people with similar believes and backgrounds. Our first common and most visible initiative was the Forum Klyutch, organized for the first time in 2012. Since then we organized this significant for the civil and youth sector event already many times. The Forum is a platform for promotion, motivation, and presentation of successful stories and a floor for communication and interaction between young people and change-makers. In 2015 KLYUCH became the biggest motivation TALK event in Bulgaria and it is attended by more than 380 people and observed by more than 400 via live stream on the internet. Recently Foundation 42 started a new series of events of a smaller scale, called KLYUCHe, where youngsters are invited to share their ideas and opinions about the development of our society. Along with these Forums, our Foundation is supporting and working in partnership with other NGOs organizing different trainings and events for the development of the civil sector. We have developed training programs for leadership, volunteer management, NGO capacity boost, communication and presentation skills, intercultural learning, project management, etc. Another accent in our activities, which we develop, is the concept of social entrepreneurship. Our mission is through trainings and events to promote good practices, to encourage youth participation and active citizenship, to support and motivate youngsters in order to improve the well-being of the society. In this sense, we are aiming at work with mainstream youth, but also people with fewer opportunities. Our vision is to support the development of a critical thinking society and youth, which are actively involved in all processes of civil life and are able to generate change and improvement.
