The Norwegian "folkehøgskole" system provides practical education in a variety of subjects. These schools are one-year boarding schools for students over 18. The method used is learning by doing, and these schools are required by law to abstain from giving exams. The main requirement for obtaining a diploma is attendance. Peder Morset folkehøgskole (PMF) is a knowledge and practice organization with a stable and competent staff. Even though we are a small school with approximately 68 students, we are well staffed. In total we are 36 employees with different professions. We have thirteen certified teachers with and nine social worker therapists. We have skilled cleaners and kitchen staff and also two skilled caretakers/craftsmen. The school's management and administration are also well staffed with varied background and education. There is continuity among the employees and many have been employed for many years. In each activity, we prioritize good staffing to follow up students and solidarity workers. Continuity and cooperation between the professions provide a good basis. When hiring, priority is given to applicants with professional and social skills and a varied life experience as a supplement to formal education.
