Huvitegevuse ja Noorsootöö SA is responsible for youth work in Harku borough. Huvitegevuse ja Noorsootöö SA is an organisation that unites three branches at Harku borough in Estonia - Youth Centres in Harku borough (since 2017), Hobby School for children and young people, and after school activities for children of local schools. We have 55 staff members and we work with more than 900 children and young people. Besides the manager of the organisation we have youth workers, trainers, teachers and coaches who all work with children and young people, most of them both individually and with groups.
Harku borough is located 8km from Tallinn and 13km from Tallinn city center. Harku borough area is 159 km2. There are more that 3500 youth in Harku. There are 5 different schools together with more than 2704 students.
In Harku municipality we have 2 youth centers and 2 youth rooms. Our centers provide different kind of opportunities/activities to local young people aged 7-26. In every youth center provides different activities, clubs every week and month. In every center we have at least one or two bigger events in a year, where all the other centers are going with the kids. We are open for the kids Monday-Friday. All our centers offers different activities such as table tennis, pool table, playstations, table football, boardgames, puzzles and much more. Around 20-40 people are visiting youthcenters every day.
Our mission- Through our activities, we support the creation of an emotionally secure and social skills-building environment for young people in order to provide opportunities to become involved and happy members of society.
Our vision- We are a multi-faceted environment for young people, attractive and time-consuming.
Huvitegevuse ja Noorsootöö SA acts as a private legal entity in the public interest and is a non profit organisation.
Our organisation aim of the activities is primarily to create opportunities for children and young people living in the municipality of Harku for diversified development, non-curriculum activities, participation in education of interest and further training.
Huvitegevuse ja Noorsootöö SA has previously been associated with different programs like TUGILA and HUKK-UP. We have had an international volunteer for three years.
