Centre of leisure time Ivancice is a school facility offering hobby education and leisure time activities for children, youth, adults, seniors and pedagogues. The organization is established by the Regional Office of the South Moravian Region as a contributory organization with legal personality. The organization has been working since 1984 with a professional team of internal and external staff.
The organization is located in Ivancice. The town of Ivancice is a smaller Moravian town with almost 10,000 inhabitants. It is located about 30 km southeast of the second largest city in the Czech Republic - Brno. In Ivancice there are facilities for sports and cultural activities, various exhibitions, musical and theatrical performances are held here. In the vicinity of the town of Ivancice there are lookout towers, castles, chateaux, cultural and historical attractions. The city of Brno is very easily accessible from Ivancice by train and bus within 40 minutes. There are many opportunities for young people - student clubs, meetings with other foreign volunteers, a community center for foreigners, restaurants, universities, nightlife for young people.
Our main goal is a varied and quality offer of activities and involvement in alternative ways of meaningful use of free time. Through our activities we fulfill the interests of children, youth and adults and current needs and trends of the town of Ivancice, microregion Ivancicko, South Moravian Region and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. Our mission is to constantly improve and enhance our rich and varied activities according to the interests of the general public. Use new methods and trends of work so that our activities are always attractive and everyone finds what they enjoy and fulfill.
We focus especially on:
- regular activities in sports, language, dance, music, polytechnic, ceramic, technical, entertainment hobby groups, the activity takes place from September to June, especially in the afternoon from about 2 to 8 pm, hobby groups are always focused thematically for a certain age group
- occasional activities in the form of various events for the public, they are traditional and non-traditional events for the public especially in the afternoon during the working week and weekends
- holiday activitities in the form of stay and suburban camps during the holidays, camps have different themes, they are planned for a certain age group, stay camps
take place in a different place than Ivancice and they are more than 7 days, suburban camps take place in Ivancice and in the surroundings villages and they are usually held from Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
- stay activities in the form of school trips, adaptation programs, outdoor schools, these are short-term stays (2-5 day stays) in Ivancice and outside Ivancice, always on a certain topic especially for school groups of pupils or students
- polytechnic activities in newly established rooms - a craft room, a wood room, a metal room, a ceramic room, an electrical room, in addition to regular, occasional and holiday activities, we also focus on spontaneous activities, which usually take place on weekends in the afternoon for the general public
- media activities in newly established workshops - a media studio with PC equipments, a PC classroom, a recording studio, a photo studio, in addition to regular, occasional and holiday activities, we also focus on irregular activities throughout the school year - workshops, seminars, video spots, editing photos
- activities for parents with children, we set up the Maternity and Family Center, which organizes various activities for parents with children during the year (hobby groups, events, camps, seminars), we set up an accredited kindergarten for children from 1 year old, it is opened from Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
- educational programs for schools, they are always held on a specific topic for a certain school group in the week in the morning at school, volunteers can participate with their presentations about their culture, geography, history
- spontaneous activities in the local youth club, which is planned primarily for children 7-15 years old, the youth club offers spontaneous and organized activities, it is open from Monday to Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm under the supervision of a pedagogue
- international activities, irregularly during the year we organize international activities such as training courses, youth exchanges, etc.
Our organization provides methodological, professional, individual and material assistance, student internships and tutoring. We cooperate with entities not only in the Ivancicko microregion.
We have our own accommodation and catering options, we rent premises. We are the center of social life in our micro-region and we plan to be a community center for education and meetings of community groups.
