The organization “Initiative Chrétienne pour l'Europe-Réseau Francophone”(ICE-RF) was founded in September 1995 in Paris, it is a secular organization, of local law non-profit. The headquarters transferred in Alsace, in Niederbronn-les-Bains, in February 2005.
The aim of the ICE network is to forge links that contribute to making Europe a multicultural reality, more friendly and fraternal. It is a vehicle for exchanges to enable young Europeans to live and experience very the Europe of everyday life, the Europe of differences, the Europe of respect, the Europe of respect for the environment, the Europe of solidarity, attentive to the most fragile. Our organization supports young people administratively and pedagogically throughout their entire voluntary service, not only in France but also abroad and offers the volunteer specific time for meetings, training and discovery.
As for the socio-economic context, ICE-RF works with more than 40 partners structures at the reception in France. Spread throughout the French territory, these institutions with a predominantly social domain (support for the disabled, the elderly, the homeless, children in difficulty) are complemented by organizations promoting cross-border and international trade.
We are a network of European partners sending volunteers to France, but also welcoming French volunteers to Europe (Germany, Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland in particular).
