One Terrene International (OTI) will be offering a variety of different EVS projects throughout the Erasmus+ program. Our EVS projects are centred on the needs of local and international youth and are developed with youth and taking their needs into consideration. Our extensive experience in the fields of education, formal and non-formal allow us to develop projects that meet the needs of the youth community and help them to develop vital skills that will help young people increase their employability and their independence that allowing them to take the EVS experience as a true working and life experience.

Due to our diversity as an organisation we can offer projects focusing on real problems in the communities that should be addressed on a European level thus allowing for greater European diversity through sharing and understanding allowing for greater sharing of knowledge on a EU level and allowing the young participants of the project to actively participate in activities that shape their lives and that of other young people in the EU.

Our focus for EVS is to offer the volunteers an opportunity to gain skills and competences in order to give them greater employment opportunities. The focus of all our EVS projects will be on skill and competence building for the volunteers based on specific themes, allowing the volunteers to leave with more working experience to increase their employability and their chances of finding employment.

Our idea of an EVS project is to allow freedom of thought and expression from our volunteers and to allow to them to contribute as much as they can while still working in a professional environment which allows them to learn and respect the professional conduct of an international organisation working in the communities and at the same time learn real skills from professionals, other local volunteers and youth and allowing for the exchange of ideas and new ideas to be tested and tried. We will run a series of EVS projects ranging from short term projects to longer 12 month EVS projects.

Volunteers will learn a great variety of skills and competences throughout the EVS experience, the methodologies used are tried and test and encompass the 8 key competences of Youthpass, allowing the volunteers to further develop their competences and understand the importance of utilising these competences in simple and complex life problems and situations while still allowing them to work in a safe and protected environment which embraces openness, flexibility and respect. The volunteers will also work with other volunteers from different countries and also with local youth.

The Youth will work with a group of experienced youth workers and professionals in the theme covered by each specific project. Each project will allow for the learning of a variety of competences with the main focus on giving the volunteers experience, skills and competences to adopt to almost any working environment, as the focus is to make them more employable and increase their chances of finding employment. Projects will be based on community needs, thus being developed based on the needs of the youth in each community and in the EU in general, thus giving greater value to the projects and the EU.

Volunteering at OTI is not a holiday, it is an opportunity for youth to develop their skills, learn from professional, work with professionals, learn how to understand the needs of the community and to work with the community to solve the problems and to understand the problems. The project will give youth the opportunity to share their ideas and contribute to our society and gain the experience, skills and competences needed to help them find employment after their service. It is an opportunity that will give young people the experience needed to face the labour market and the world, helping them to mature through learning to be independent and resourceful.
