Movimentazioni is a non-profit cultural association interested in social and cultural progress.
We started in 2003 stimulating and promoting activities and interventions in the city of Pescara, and in April 2006 we opened the first associative Book Shop dedicated to Primo Moroni, an Italian writer, bookseller and intellectual. In 2009 we moved to larger spaces and opening the first Book Cafe in the city. In 2017 we moved to a new youth co-working space (known as Spazio010) in which we share experiences, projects, and activities with professional figures of media communication and creativity. Since the new office provides larger and more efficient space, we were able to accomplish more different activities, always connected to each other: youth animation, workshops about books and creativity for children aged 3 to 11 years, book signings with authors, projections of movies and documentaries, seminars and public debates on different themes: the role of associations, active citizenship and participation, responsible tourism, sharing economy, cultural diversity, music, contemporary art, etc.
In these 16 years we were especially involved in the promotion of cultural and social politics that address a particular attention to the new generations, aiming to detect and meet their needs and expectations. Associazione Movimentazioni has in its board a strong youth presence that can be also founded in its more than 100 associates and that makes our cultural proposal actually careful to the young needs and their issues. Since 2010 we are accredited in the hosting, sending and coordinating roles for the European Voluntary Service and we work, since our begins, with the youth European programs, today became Erasmus +. In 2013 together with other Italian organizations, we have constituted a national network R.I.V.E. for the promotion of the EVS and that manages the website: www.serviziovolontarioeuropeo.it.
In 2015 we have adhered to Arci , an association of social promotion with national and international relevance, taking actively part to the provincial committeeand regional council.
In the last years, thanks to the participation in regional, national and European projects we have developed knowledge, skill and experience in the following areas of interest:
- youth and citizenship (democracy, peace, participation, cooperation, urban cultures and languages of youth);
- culture (visual arts, film, publishing, independent music);
- communication and technological innovation.
Our main activities:
- Cultural activities of various types conducted periodically throughout the whole year, usually once a week, about the topic of creativity, workshops for children, seminars, debates, and books launch with the writer, art and film festivals;
- Coordination, tutoring, implementation, and management of European projects promoted by the Erasmus + Programme, Evs/Esc Project and the Youth in Action Programme or projects provided by national calls on culture and active citizenship;
- Cultural and social activities proposed with cyclic or annual periodicity: organization of excursions and cultural tours and/or landscaping, participation in the Energy Saving Day (M'illumino di meno), courses of Italian for foreigners, multicultural workshops on various arts (music, literature, cinema), courses about promotion and organization of events and cultural journalism;
- Organization and showing of films in our association spaces exhibition in winter, and outdoor during the summer in several locations like public beach, public square or in collaboration with some small Municipality in the nearby of Pescara  (Moscufo, Spoltore) with the format "Effetto Notte, cinema sotto le stelle".
- Organization, management and official book service of the national relevant book exhibition “FLA, Festival di Letteratura Libri e Altre Cose", organized in collaboration with the association “Mente Locale” and with the support of the Municipalities and Provinces of Chieti and Pescara;
- Cooperation, since the beginning, for the realization, management and implementation of the “Indierocket Festival”, an international independent music festival, that in 2019 reached its 15th edition, and now is the one of most important music event for young in the entire region, with attendants from all the center and south of Italy;
- Offer of technical services (service audio-video, graphics, advertising, and communication), administrative consultancy (euro project management and planning) and artistic consultancy (organization of events, festivals, theatrical, musical and cinematographic performances) for small and average local towns.
- Associative Book Shop for the community.
