CEDE Aruba promotes bringing together people and resources for sustainable development. In the fight against the socioeconomic and social problems in Aruba, we bring the target groups into contact with each other that can strengthen each other and whenever there is an opportunity for social and educational development. We contribute to a community where people of all ages and backgrounds can develop themselves.We believe that sustainable development in the Aruban community is feasible.

CEDE Aruba is a development and co-financing organization that supports the development and financing of programs and projects in the field of welfare in Aruba. These programs and projects are brought up and realized by non- governmental organizations (NGO’s, such as foundations and associations) that put their effort in the improvement of welfare provisions in the Aruban community. CEDE Aruba helps these NGO’s with the development, financing and execution of all kinds of durable and meaningful projects.

We do this by:
- Providing funds - directly by CEDE Aruba itself and indirectly by acting as an intermediary for other funds, particularly the Cooperating Funds Caribbean Part of the Dutch Kingdom (Samenwerkende Fondsen Caribisch Deel van het Koninkrijk).
- Providing support and guidance to local organizations and exploring financing opportunities for new initiatives. - Acting as a catalyst in the initiation and supporting of new developments.
- Organizing national campaigns and programs regarding volunteering, community engagement, corporate social responsibility and leadership.

CEDE Aruba helps Aruban organizations with the development and financing of projects in the following 6 areas of activity: • Neighborhood & Community • Individual & Family • Children & Young People • Senior Citizens and People with Disabilities • Vulnerable Groups • Strengthening of NGOs

CEDE Aruba wants to invest more in valuable cooperation structures, so not just projects of individual organizations, but interventions based on cooperation between organizations as well. For this purpose, CEDE Aruba organizes programs in consultation with the various sectors of the field. Currently, CEDE Aruba is working on the following programs: • Poverty reduction • Family care • Growing old together and Active Aging • Labor market access for people with disabilities • Comprehensive approach teen parents • Opportunities for young people • Strengthening NGOs • Strengthening neighbourhood centers

Concrete projects CEDE Aruba executes itself: Aruba Doet (Annual national volunteer action) • Pitch Time (Youth Volunteer Program sponsored by Private Sector) • VIBES4You(th) (Leadership development for voluntary leaders) • Community Guide (online guide consisting of Social Directory, Volunteer Jobs&Recruitment and Event Calendar) • NGO Academy (Capacity Building training for NGO's) • Erasmus+/ESC (Volunteering & Youth (worker) Mobility opportunities abroad) • Volunteer of the Year Awards (Yearly recognition celebration)
