A szervezet leírása

CIRIUS Kamnik is a Center for education, rehabilitation and training located in a small beautiful town of Kamnik in the North of Slovenia, at the foot of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Kamnik is one of the oldest towns in Slovenia and it is known for its diverse nature, hiking spots and historical background.

CIRIUS Kamnik is a public insitution specialised in education and rehabilitation of children and youngsters who are physically handicapped or have other various longterm illnesses. Every year around 220 children and youngsters attend educational and training programmes in primary and secondary schools, and attend therapies (occupational, physio, speech ...). Around 70 of them are in the residental care (they attend different school courses and therapies but live in the Centre during the week), most of the rest of the children and youth are a part of the daily training programme (they attend it after school end every day and after it finishes they go home).

After school activities (included in daily training programme and residantial care programme) offer children and youth a variety of opportunities to gain important life experiences and improve social skills (sports and adapted sports (boccia, swimming); creative workshops - music, theatre, painting; conversational groups, camping project with different schools ...). Our aim is to equip the students and pupils to be as independent as possible and to be an active part of the society they live in with the skills they have.
