CAE, formació i serveis socioculturals, is a nonprofit association declared of public utility that works for the promotion and dissemination of education in leisure and cultural and community revitalization.
It was founded in 1984 as a municipal Leisure school educators in the City of Manresa. In 1987 it became a non-profit association formed by people linked to education in Bages centers of leisure.
CAE performances are structured into four areas:
1. Training: Leisure education (monitors, directors, premonitory, resources ...), gambling and games and associative organization and management and volunteer training
2. Programs and cultural activities and youth services: youth information ManresaJove Service, The Youth Centre Kampana,
Game Club, cultural activities and community revitalization
3. Educational services: Educational activities in schools, children and youth holiday activities
4. Bank of Educational Resources and Publications and exhibitions
CAE organizes activities for a wide typology of audience: children / as, families and young people, adults .... During 2019, more than 50,000 people participated in the different activities, services or programs organized by the association.
The CAE has a team of 20 members and partners volunteers who organized much of the cultural activities and community revitalization. It has a technical structure consisting of 13 people who develop various programs and services that support the work of volunteers.
All this activity is complemented by the Fundació La Xarranca it develops from CAE. The Fundation goal is management of educational and leisure services aimed at children / as and young people (paragraph 3). The two entities share the headquarters and work in coordination.
