Altea Town Council launches in 2017 its European Projects Office. The city of Altea is located in the province of Alicante and has a population of 23,010 inhabitants. The European Projects Office depends on the Department of Human Resources and Finance.
Young people between 18 and 30 years of age represent a very important group of the population of Altea, being approximately 16% of the population. Our main objective is to develop the economy in order to create new employment prospects, especially for young people, contributing both directly and indirectly to the economic dynamism of the city.

The Office works in the following areas of interest:

1. Information and employment guidance to the unemployed.
2. Information and advice service for new entrepreneurs.
3. European projects.

1. The activities of the employment guidance service are focused on the unemployed and young people who have difficulty in finding a secure position in the labour market.
2. Entrepreneurs play an important role in the economic development of the Municipality of Altea. The support service for entrepreneurs aims to encourage business activity in the local area in order to create new economic and employment opportunities.
3. The European Projects Office aims to develop European cooperation and promote the opportunities that Europe offers mainly in themes as youth, promotion of volunteering, democratic participation, sustainable development and social inclusion.
