Comunità di Etica Vivente (Community of Living Ethics) is a spiritual intentional community founded in 1981 on the criteria of psychosynthesis. It is a secular, cultural, non-profit association.
Among the hills of western Umbria, its centers are located near Città della Pieve, in the province of Perugia, and Monteleone d'Orvieto and Montegabbione in the province of Terni. They are farmhouses immersed in the green countryside, along a radius of about 25 km, surrounded by about 50 hectares of organic land.

The Community has always dedicated itself to the development of human consciousness in the various fields of life, developing training courses on the great spiritual teachings of the 20th century and on the mature experience of group life. The community has been built thanks to an increasing number of members and friends who have made their own voluntary creative contribution, giving birth to an intense and qualified group activity.

The Community has grown over 35 years of life by physically building its centers, first through the careful restoration of existing rural buildings, then through the design of new structures well integrated into the surrounding agricultural landscape, based on the principles of sacred geometry, of bioclimatic architecture and energy saving. From this experience was born an educational path in architecture, also dedicated to young people. In the coming years we are planning construction sites and workcamps to complete the structures necessary for the activities of the Association.

The study and application of the principles of Living Ethics constitute the core that animates all its activities. It is an experiment that continues to attract those who are trying to understand and renew their lives and those who believe in the challenge of being able to build the future in different ways from those known and usual.

The management of the centers and activities is entrusted to the voluntary collaboration of the members, organized in working groups for specific sectors (kitchen, maintenance, secretariat, gardens, vegetable garden, etc.) in order to encourage the experience of a model of community life inspired by ethical principles and based on cooperation. Over the years, two residential villages have been built, in which about thirty members live. Others reside in the surroundings, while many others, coming from all over Italy and abroad, take part in the activities participating in the Schools and offering their voluntary collaboration in the tasks necessary for the life of the Community.

CEV is full member of GEN (Global Ecovillage Network) since 2015 and of Rive (Italian Network of Ecological Villages) from 2017.
