AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, non-for-profit organization, and its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-led network creating positive impact through personal development and shared, inter-cultural, global experiences. Our vision is "Peace and the fulfillment of humankind’s potential".About our vision:It is every young person’s responsibility to take a positive role shaping the future of our society and locality. We believe every young person deserves the chance, and tools, to fulfill their potential.We provide young people with self-driven, practical, global experiences. We enable them to see the world, make a real difference and discover what truly matters to them.In addition to providing leadership positions and delivering conferences, AIESEC runs a global exchange program that enables young people the opportunity to live and work in another culture and country.About AIESEC in Denmark:AIESEC in Denmark is one of the founding members of the AIESEC global network. Our organization exists since 1949.Every year we are providing around 250 volunteer leadership opportunities through our membership program, more than 150 exchange opportunities for students and recent graduates. For our local and exchange volunteers to prosper, we organize at least 5 national conferences every year, on top of an annual "Youth To Business / YouthSpeak Forum". Given our approximately 20.000 alumni, who support the sustainability of the organization through advice and capacity building, we can build on a long tradition of facilitating quality incoming and outgoing youth exchanges. Thus, our stakeholders are students from Danish universities, international interns, our national partnering organizations (both from the corporate and non-corporate sector), Danish universities and high schools Denmark and alumni of AIESEC in Denmark.AIESEC in Denmark is comprised of the National Board (with 5 full time staff members) and 6 local chapters from different cities in Denmark. Every local chapter is led by an executive board comprised of 5 students (recruited from the universities in Denmark) and approximately 20-60 members working on volunteer basis, each year. Moreover, the National Board is assisted by a volunteer team called National Support Team, which consists of AIESEC members with more experience, that help the National Board manage and run the organization’s projects and coach the local chapters. Except the full time staff members, every member of AIESEC in Denmark and AIESEC local chapters work on a volunteering basis, part-time, and develop their leadership potential by creating internship opportunities for other students and recent graduates. AIESEC’s main target group are students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education, students in high school, the corporate and the non-corporate sectors in Denmark, as well as other governmental and non-governmental institutions in Denmark.
