AIESEC is a youth run organization with over 70.000 members in over 127 countries. Having as main aim “Peace and Fulfillment of human kind potential”, we are running national and international projects aiming to develop young people through international experiences and leadership opportunities.
AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, non-for-profit organisation, and its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management.
In addition to providing leadership positions and delivering conferences, AIESEC runs an exchange programme that enables young people the opportunity to live and work in another country.
In 2018 AIESEC in Chisinau had around 100 members involved in the organization, both taking leadership and membership roles. The organization provided 52 exchange opportunities to young people, both sending abroad Moldavian students (17) and receiving international youth (35) in Moldova for our AIESEC local projects and professional stages in companies.
We work, on the one hand, with university students, which we aim to actively engage as members of the organization and send abroad on internships and at the same time, students of elementary and high schools, which we engage with our social projects in Moldova, by bringing international volunteers. On the other hand, we work with companies from our country, which we aim to work with qualified international talents to help them grow international and bring new perspectives into the industry.
Our regular activities include different activities. Since we are structured as a company, we have departments such as Human Resources, Finance and Legal Assistance, Business Development, Incoming Exchange and Outgoing Exchange, Marketing and PR. The teams of finance manage the cash-flows and track projects, the human resources recruit members and ensure retention and trainings of the membership; marketing ensures communication strategies overall and guarantees registrations for membership and of students who want to go abroad. The department of outgoing exchange facilitates the process of finding an internship and preparing the students to go abroad while people of incoming exchange department recruit foreign students and prepare them for our local projects or have meeting with NGOs and Companies in order to raise internships in Moldova for international students. These are our core activities during the year, which we then add on conferences, trainings, etc.
