Description

Foundation SEED is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization registered for public benefit in 2015. The aim of the Foundation is to empower and develop youth communities and to foster social inclusion. In the beginning our activities were mainly focused on the local youths in Samokov. In the course of the time our mission spreaded throughout the country and we are currenly aiming to motivate the local youth communities in Bulgaria in order to develop proactive attitude and to change the social environment through development of youth policies and initiatives that involve young people and give them opportunities to develop in all spheres of public life. Our primary focuse is to help young people to grow and develop their potential. Together with them, their parents and the municipalities we invested in giving them opportunities to gain new knowledge, experience and obtain essential skills. The successful collaboration with the institutions, parents and other organizaitons enabled us to reach our goal to empower the youths.

The organization is governed by a Board of Directors and President. Annually there are 5000 people engaged in the activities, this includes staff, freelancers, experts, volunteers and community.

Under an agreement between the Foundation and Samokov Municipality the former granted for free the usage of one of its properties. Along with dedicated volunteers we created a place called "Hub-a" which is the first co-working place in Samokov and gave access to art, music, workshops, books, learnig activities to youths. The building is equipped with conference tables, scene, library, corner for board games, licenced bar.

Activities:
1) Support for pre-school education and educational integration of students from minority communities, children in … and also for those who seek or have received international protection
2) To support cultural, social, health and educational institutions
3) To support education, health, health planning, prevention of early marriages, prevention of school dropping, and supporting youth activities
4) To support other non-profit organizations with similar activities
5) To organize and fund festivals, competitions, seminars, conferences, trainings, including distance ones, related to the scope of work of the Foundation

The Foundation uses the following tools to achieve its goals:
1) Organizing campaings, conferences, presentations
2) Collaborating with local schools, organizations with similar goals, collaboration with municipalities
3) Organizing craft and creative workshops

1) Young people from Bulgaria
2) Young people from minority background
3) Volunteers who are interested in our activities and values
4) People interested in youth development - experts, teachers, municipalities
